It uses the phone's camera and projects 2 sets of 3 red balls in the southern sky when you point your phone to the south and up. Pretty cool really. A big assist when you want to know if a tree is blocking the sats. Allows you to place your portable receiver for a clear view.
I understand there might be a version for android phones too. Possibly googling the author's name might find it.
