Verizon signal amplifier

I purchased the Wilson wireless amp for small buildings and RVS with a non direction antenna out and a wall mount in with duel adjustable gains, went from no bars no signal to full bars. Well worth the 400.00 to me.Covers a ten foot circle around the TT.Wireless lap tops with hotspot and cell phones work great. We are fulltimers and boondock in the back country.

Go for the Wilson Sleek 4G-V. I think the current Iphone Youtube app defaults to low def video. Your Samsung S3 prefers HD Youtube content. Big difference in bandwidth. I've seen Motorola phones get 2-3db more signal level than my Verizon Samsung S3. I have yet to see an Iphone get slightly better signal.

I have to agree with Jeff - While I love my iPhone, it isn't known for having the strongest signal. If your S3 doesn't match an iPhone on the same network I'd have it checked...

I saw a post that mentioned the wilson sleek cradle for $100 isn. When I looked online I also saw wilson antennas for $20 which people had good luck both with and without the cradle. I would have to call Wilson and find out the correct antenna for the S3 but if it doesn't work alone I can always get the cradle and use them together. When I upgrade I will CERTAINLY be getting an iphone so all this is temporary anyway which is another reason I want to keep the cost down.

You cannot use an antenna by itself with an S3 or any of the newer phones for that matter . The phone manufacturers have stopped putting RF Ports ( external antenna ) on the phone . The only real solution for any of these devices is a cradle type amplifier or a wireless amplifier. Sorry there are no $13 dollar solutions . Also if some tells you just get an induction adapter and an antenna , they are full of it . Induction is ineffectual without an amplifier of some variety.

Or, pay the difference now for a new phone. The sleek is an outstanding addition and I have not used my expensive amplifiers since getting it. I do have a bluetooth and you can even get cordless phones that are bluetooth so you can have realy cordless phones as well. As suggested, if the sleek is still available in two models get the 4G model. The sleek can come with a home kit that has a suction cup mount for glass and you place the magnetic mount on that part. Three is a stand to hold the cradle. You can opt for a better outside antenna but the magnetic one works well.

The first question is was the iPhone on the same network? While most of the time Verizon covers more areas than AT&T, there are exceptions.

I wouldn't expect much from a $13.00 amplifier working at cell phone frequencies, even doubt they exist. As Lonny or Diane mentioned, a Wilson Sleek is the easiest solution, although your phone needs to remain in the Sleek for it to work - you will need a bluetooth headset to use the phone. If you plan to use 4G, be sure you purchase the correct Sleek - they make a V or an A version for Verizon or AT&T.

There are more expensive solutions, particularly for 3G . I have a combination of an exterior antenna, amplifier, and interior antenna that provides a boosted signal within 5'-7' of the internal antenna. Check the Wilson or Maximum Signal websites for some solutions.

we ordered the Wilson Sleek from Walmart and ordered the additional window mount antenna. Increases bars enough to get service. Not super fast if no cell tower nearby but better than without it. Pleased with it and would buy it again.
