To my knowledge they always have charge per receiver .. Always have. You must have been missed ;-) If you happen to own the equipt its a access charge and if not its a lease charge same fee ! I agree it's a pain but what can you do ? Dish has the same thing. Most cable companies now require their special receiver for ea tv the normal the cable ready tv won't recieve their signal. Hang it up and throw up the antenna for OTA .. That's it :-(
