if you want it automatic
then each device will need backup software running
each with it's own 'scheduled' time so as not to conflict with other devices

I am not aware of Any hhd that will 'poll' devices and ask them to trigger a backup
it has to be done by the 'device to be backed up'
yes you can run 'auto sync' software on each device
