Where To Purchase "Good Quality" Laptop Battery?

Utterly Spooked. Horror stories about packs sold "as new" containing "refurbished" batteries.

I am using an aged Gateway S 7320 M laptop and wish for an extended capacity battery pack. Playing solitaire and offline bridge this "8-cell extended capacity battery lasts around one hour twenty minutes until black screen shutdown. No, my 70-year old eyes cannot tolerate a dimmer display.

I've had pretty good luck with Anker brand batteries on Amazon. You probably already know the brighter your screen, the more battery it uses...it's a catch 22. What about a deep cycle boat battery and an inverter? :)

Amazon 4400mAh battery for $29.83. I think that's the longer life battery. While I know it's not easy for you to receive or return things, I'd go with Amazon in case there's a problem. I've never had a problem of the few things I've returned to them.

I find the same battery elsewhere for more money.

Batteries Plus sells a 4800mAh one for $99.99. I'd go with two or three from Amazon before getting the one from Batteries Plus.

I'd be extremely happy with those numbers. My batteries last about 50 minutes now.
