So I picked up a new in box pathway x2 for $160 just now (Hooray)!http://puu.sh/pIvtz/01c4e6d79a.jpgNow I need to buy a 211 to go with it. What's the agreement on the best and why?

I prefer the VIP211K over the 'Z'. The 'K' has a built in OTA tuner that's an extra cost option on the 'Z', and also has an RF output that can be used to mirror to a second TV that the 'Z' doesn't have.

Thanks for the Wally info but since I already have a K and a Z in our rig I see no advantage because it is 'small' and has a different interface.

I decided to go with the wally. I mounted it to the wall inbehind our TV and got the Dish Wifi dongle to go with it to integrate netflix into the box too. I'll snap some pictures a bit later.

One thing i found is that the auction I won was for a X2 and it CAME with a 211Z in the box too. Guess the Z is gonna hit Ebay now. lol

It won't matter in strong signal areas, but I've found the 211k's OTA tuner to be a bit more sensitive than the USB OTA tuner.

I suggest the Wally, smallest size, uhf remote vs ir so it can be placed inside a cabinet out of view, runs cooler that the 211's also. Has same ability of using the optional usb over the air tuner, will support external hard drive for both recording and pause while watching features. If second outlet being coax is needed, a small component to coax converter can be purchased for a very reasonable price allowing you to connect to multiple screens at the same time.

I just replaced two 211k's with the Wallys, couldn't be happier

If, for some reason you find that you wished your Z had an OTA tuner, a USB dongle add-on is available and could be added at a later date. From what you describe I would likely go with the Z or Wally for the space savings and heat reduction.
