which tablet?

I have a bulky Dell lap top, that works great on the desk but way to big to haul in the RV. Just gets in the way. I have a Kindle Fire and does not operate the way I need. I've had Ipad, which I liked but it won't blend with my android phone. Looking very strong at a Samsung tablet 10.1. I only want Wifi, and really will not need over 16 gigs. I look on Amazon and just get confused at the different models. Local Radio Shack has one for 599.00 with 100.00 off if you sign up with Verizon for 2 yr. contract, which would cose me another 18.00 per month counting taxes. Way more then what I want to spend. Anyway do all sugest any certain model that will fill my needs. Thanks

    The Samsung Galaxy Tab is working good for us.
    My wife loves it and it is her first.

    If it would have been me, I would have gotten the Nexus.

    Like to stay updated with the latest Google Android updates? Consider the Google Nexus 7 or Nexus 10 tablets. Can't get enough of my Nexus 7.

    Without a doubt a Blackberry Playbook , it will outperform any apple or android device and price point is amazing

    I have the ASUS TF700T.
    Works well now that I have a custom ROM on it :)

    Get a cheap phone from Walmart, and a cheap tablet that will connect to wifi. You only get on when you are in a WiFi area...so you don't get internet by anything other than being within a half mile tops of a wifi site.

    We connect when we can, and we bought a $30 wifi booster that really extended our connection range. If we need to know more, we can phone.

    You stated that you only needed wifi so why are you even considering the one at Radio Shack with the Verizon 3G built-in?

    Personally, if I was wishing to buy a 10" tablet, I would buy the Google Nexus 10

    I really like my Samsung Galaxy 2 7.0 (8GB)

    The price at Amazon is fair and it's speedy as heck (I am picky about speed and response) I added a 32GB SD Card so I have all the room I need for applications and music and photos.

    I am also happy with the 7" size as I have a medium sized laptop already. I don't feel I am missing anything when I break out the Samsung to surf the internet.

    Just beware that if you do go to a tablet, that all QWERTY keyboards are not created equal.

    Another vote for Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 - I have the 7" , but if you wanted the 10", I'm sure that'd be fine too. I put a custom ROM on mine, which I prefer (on all of my mobile devices), but the stock ROM would server most folks fine.
