Just a matter of confidence in which map source you are using.
All maps contain errors.
We just have to do the best out of them. During my recent trip in Spain, my GPS was right, but the roundabout was ... blocked, luckily I had a paper map with me. The GPS insisted to go thru that roundabout.
I later found out that the Planning Preference was set to 'Fastest Route' which I changed to 'Always ask...'.
By the way I prepared all my places to see (waypoints) with Mapsource, with the help of Google Maps, feed them into my TomTom (car) & my Garmin Dakota (walk). When Mapsource and Google Maps don't agree, I would make two waypoints just to be sure.
Question for those TomTom haters out here: 'Do you ever negotiate the roundabouts and the narrow streets of Europe with a Garmin ?'. I don't know about the new ones but I don't trust my life with my old Garmin. It's so slow that when I miss one turn it's likely I will miss the next one (recalculated) too. Oh yeh, I hate that 'recalculating' stuff, the TomTom just does it quietly.
