Will A Sat Receiver Collect Internet Signals For Use

Will my roof top sat receiver collect and make usable wifi internet connections? I would like to use NetFlex on my TV but am not wanting to use hot spot feature of cell phone.

I havent looked into the lastest DIRECTV and AT&T merger for watching TV yet but it sounds like something I might want to do... We are quite happy just using the OTA BAT WING ANTENNA and picking up some the HDTV digital programs from the local towns... There are four or five CABLE TV programs we really like to watch that is not on the NATIONAL BROADCAST channels... We could use something the DIRECTV over the internet for this perhaps...

They are claiming you can get all of your SAT CHANNELS via internet connections I guess and be able to view SAT TV anywhere you are at using your Cell phone/Tablets devices...

I am assuming this is downloaded via the internet. The monthly rate depends on SAT TV PLAN starting at $29 a month I think I read... You don't need your DISH or SAT RCVR at all in this case if I am reading this correctly...

    Sounds kinda interesting to me...

You might try pointing it at the CG's wifi antenna.

    Really :h:h:h
  • No. DH is a developer and not only did we call Dish on this, but researched it and no. Sadly no.
