Windows 10 Update - Frozen at Downloading 100%

Let it run. Takes hours.

Hi,

My most expensive computer ever was a Mac laptop. Total cost was about 6 grand. Within two years it would no longer run the latest update from Apple in "real" mode which is what the software I wished to use required. I would have been a MUCH happier person without Mac.

Further, I can run legacy software from the 1980 era on my windows 10 laptop.

Some mac book pro units are a fire risk.

Schedule updates for 2 AM so you don't have to watch. Problem solved.

You should have to roll back drivers, but update the drivers.

I do a hard restart on my laptop- I hold the power button down until it shuts off then hit it again to start it back up. If you have issues with sound or something else go into the device manager and roll back the driver.

You must remeber that you need to do disc cleanup. There is a window to remove previous editions so they are not all trying to run.
Microsoft usually sends updates out on Tuesdays.

It took mine over 2 hours.

I didn't time it, but it took a long time to update. Now the blasted thing is doing some weird things like going blank and audio turning on and off randomly. I really hate Windows.

My update: Just seen a notice in the tray that it wants yet another reboot. I really, really hate Windows.
