- LwiddisExplorer IINo 11 problems here…thankfully.
- Michelle_SExplorer IIIPresently the upgrade is a free download, but I assume that eventually when they start shutting down Win 10 they will be a charge for the upgrade.
I've done both of our Lap Tops with no issues. - LouLawrenceExplorerI did the update on my laptop a month or 2 back. No issues.
- fj12ryderExplorer IIII have W10 on the new laptop, but still use W7 on the everyday usage desktop tower. W10 is okay, especially since it can be made to work like W7, pretty much. Still things on W7 I prefer over W10. Some handy tools tend to be buried and kind of hard to get to on W10, rather than easy to use and at hand on W7.
But hey, I'm old and don't particularly care for change just for the sake of change. And also don't care for the tablet look. - wildtoadExplorer IISeems I’ve done my last Windows OS upgrade (other than upgrades for 10). Had already moved almost everything over to IOS anyway. But MS told me I don’t have an upgradeable system (Surface), and I’ll not buy another.
- theoldwizard1Explorer IIEvery Microsoft upgrade has used more memory and CPU resources. If you are marginal now, you will hate the upgrade.

What kind of Bloatware does it install?
I did on a desktop last month. Jury still out for me. Wasn't really enamored with 10, don't want my computer desktop looking like a cell phone screen. 11 continues with that and I've experienced several "freeze" episodes since 11 was installed. Also massive bloatware. Good thing the computer has a 1 TB hard drive.
I'm referring to the sheer size of Windows 11 and how much space it occupies on the hard drive. It gets bigger and bigger with every new version Microsoft churns out. - 1492Moderator

I have an ancient Samsung laser printer that just keeps going year after year....
Reminded me that I also have an older Samsung color laser printer which I don't want to lose. A complete set of four generic color toner cartridges still cost under $30., less than most inkjets. Won't find a similar color laser like that anymore. Only downside is its slow for color printing at 4-pages a minute.
Won't upgrade before end-of-life until confirming my existing software is compatible, and stable hardware drivers are available with a new OS. - magicbusExplorer IIJust no reason to make the move. 10 works fine and has support for 3+ years.

Ditto, why go thru the potential pain of an upgrade unless someone shows you a number of good reasons to do so. And I have not seen a single improvement mentioned yet.
