If you use Directv with this sat, did you need to use a B-Band converter?

- Why would you need a B band converter? It's not an HD Dish
- More than likely. B band converters were used for everything in recent years until the advent of SWM technology, so it depends on receiver.
- No. B-Band Converters are only necessary for the reception of HD programming on an older DirecTV system. The dome style antennas cannot receive any HD programming from DirecTV.
You will need to change the settings in the receiver to 18" round antenna and mulitswitch (not SWM).
