A friend had a similar problem and it turned out that when his OTA batwing antenna was raised and turned to a direction that cast a signal shadow on the dish it would make it difficult for the dish to find satellites.
It was hard to figure out because it only happened in one RV park in AZ.
That may not be your issue but it might be a walk outside to check.
