Search times will be longer if you are pointed in a different direction or have move a considerable distance since it last locked on, but your times are way "out of limits". My 6 year old Travler has never taken more that about 10 mins to lock on if it could see all of the sats it is looking for.
You mention the 119 sat so I assume that you have the SK3005. I'm pretty sure that it only finds the 101 and then skews the 119. Those 2 sats being peaked will pretty much take care of everything else.
It sure sounds like something is loose, bent, corroded, or intermittent.
After checking all the obvious things, I would try to borrow a control box and/or LNB to see if it makes any difference. Check the data cable ends carefully as the wires and connectors appear to be delicate.
For the most part, the Travler has been one of the most reliable items in the RV industry.
