This was a long post to say that it is probably normal operation. Now if you have timed it and it is actually taking 15 minutes that is probably a little too long, but if you are estimating the time I suggest you actually time it.
On my most recent move of 90 miles to the NNW, I ended up with the MH oriented within about 15 degrees of the previous direction.
The times I posted are actual times.
At the new location, the searching began at 3:03 pm.
Satellite 101 was peaked and identified at 3:24, but the system kept on searching.
Satellite 119 was peaked and identified at 3:37, and the system kept on searching.
Satellite 101 again was peaked and identified at 3:39 pm. This time the system locked on and provided signals from 99W, 101W, and 103W.
