When I had problems locking on, it turned out the dish and/or arm had a small bend somewhere, somehow. It doesn't take much as someone else posted.
The thing I find most perplexing is the fact that the system will peak and identify 101W, but then just seems to keep on searching with no knowledge of having found 101.
I would expect the system to search in a relatively small azimuth and elevation window based on those parameters at the time it identified the satellite.
Instead it just keeps on making 360 degree azimuth swings while keeping the elevation either near minimum or near maximum with little or no searching in between.
As stated before, when it does find the right satellite, it seems to be more by accident than by design.
