Mine did the same thing. The clueless tech support people at Winegard were never able to assist in resolving the issue. Every time I move a long distance it takes forever (so long you assume it is broken) to find the sats. If you only move a few miles it locks on in 5 minutes.
Did your system peak and identify 101, but then continue to search for a long time before finding it again?

I think the unit remembers the positions it was last at and tries to start there for quick setup. When that fails to get a signal it seems totally lost at how to find the signal.
