We just purchased a new 5th wheel, on our previous TT we had a Wineguard Trav'ler that could pick up either Bell (in Canada) or Dish when we went South. With the new 5th I thought I might go with a Shaw system. Wineguard sells a Trav'ler that works with Shaw but will I get a signal in Yuma? This would let me disconnect from Dish and end the arguing about putting a service on pause. They are tough to deal with and the aggravation is building.
Your only choice is Shaw if you want Canadian service in the US. You could use Bell in Canada and the PAYG service from Dish while in the US but Bell does not work in the US (except the extreme N. parts) but Shaw is available everywhere including Yuma and Mexico.
You cannot "upgrade" your Trav'ler to Shaw, it's a complete replacement. However, you will be able to use all the same wiring so no new cabling would need to go through the roof.
