XFinety-Thunderbird Problem

a couple of months ago I changed my Thunderbird email from POP3 to IMAP to work with changes Xfinity were doing, all worked great until a couple of weeks ago. Problem started one day when I didn't get any emails in Thunderbird for about 12 hours, but there were some in my Xfinity inbox. After 12 hours they came into Thunderbird and I thought ok just a fluke.

Well now my Thunderbird has not gotten any new emails since 10-18, three days ago, but I have several in my Xfinity in box.

Do I need to redo my Thunderbird IMAP configuration? Any other ideas?
  • I have been using Thunderbird for a very long time on both Gmail and AT&T (but not on Xfinity) and have never had to change any setting since my initial setup.

Big tip ! Create a folder under Local Folders called Drafts. Then right click on you account name in the left hand column, click Settings and click Copies and Folders. Change Keep Draft Messages in : Drafts on Local Folders.

If you have no Internet connection or Xfinity is down, you can still create (but not send) messages. Just remember to send them when you have a connection to Xfinity.
