XM

Anybody have their XM radio activate on its own? When I bought my truck it had the 3 month free trial. Well that expired and my radio was deactivated. Of course I have gotten the numerous emails and letters with inticeing offers to reactivate over the past couple of months. Well here is the strange thing. I turn on my radio and come to find out I have XM radio again and I didn't even ask for it. Is this some sort of enticement on their part to get me to sign up or is this just some kind of fluke?

It would be interesting to here what people are paying for this service from XM.
I know the price can be so much less than what they ask for if you "play their little game of saying you are going to stop service"
I just did mine for $82.00 plus tax for the year.
And by the way if you get a good deal for the year make sure you talk to them before your year is up as they have auto renewal at the going rate which is always far to high to pay for their service.

I'm on a 5 month plan at $4.99 per month with Sirius. I was paying the full fare and called up to cancel. They sent me to the cancellation department and they gave me $4.99/month for 5 months. At the end of the 5 month period I try to cancel and they give me $4.99 per month again.

Never give them a credit card number or they will automatically bill you the full amount. I found out the hard way one year. I require them to bill me via US Mail and I send them a check.
  • With all the commercials and the babbling DJs on the supposed all music channels, they can keep it at any price.

As the above posters have mentioned-a free trial until I believe Sept. 9th.
  • oOOHHHOOOOooo... I'll have to ck my radio when I drive to work tomorrow morning! Don't remember how to access it, but I'll surf around. Thanks!

  • It's a free trial to try to get former customers back. Lasts about a week or so. Heard it on a commercial today.
