Yahoo now wants phone# to get an email account

I use only yahoo email accounts to access anything internet. Been doing it for years. This keeps my personal email totally free of spam. I have not had a spam email in my personal email for over 18 ye...

They probably send a text message to validate the account... This number would also likely be the "account recovery" backup method if you become locked out.

The above is just an assumption. I know google has had my number for quite some time and there have been ZERO consequences.


They must have some other verification. Doubt they could text a land line number
