Yahoo now wants phone# to get an email account

I use only yahoo email accounts to access anything internet. Been doing it for years. This keeps my personal email totally free of spam. I have not had a spam email in my personal email for over 18 ye...

A free Google Voice(GV) phone number may work. Some web services such as Craigslist won't accept GV or some other SIP/VoIP services if a verification phone number is required.
