I just bought some regulation (2'x4') boards and bags. Hope to get a lot of use out of them this summer.
What kind of design? (Picture?):)
They're nothing special. Solid color, one orange, one black. I'm going to "decorate" them Harley style when I get the time.:C - goreds2Explorer

- DE88ROXExplorerWe always bring our game of "washers" 12x12 wooden box with a pvc pipe in the middle. spaced 30' apart. Played and scored pretty much just like horse shoes but a lot more portable. Will play that game all day long. If I knew how to post pics on here I would put one up.

I'm not one of those guys, though I have camped with them quite a bit! I have a buddy who has a keg cooler, a spigot on the side of his popup, and everything is camoflaged to look like a garden hose. He doesn't even need to leave his chair by the fire to refill. :P He (and the others we camp with) drink a lot, though we're not stupid drunks. We eat, drink, and are a merry lot til quiet hours start, at which point half of them are passed out for the night in their tents or campers anyhow. - FunnyCamperExplorer IIwe own one. used it 3-4 times maybe. we have it permanently packed in the camper. but seems there is so much better things to do for us, and when we get back to the camper too tired for a game :)
- wbwoodExplorerhmmm...haven't gotten the cornhole game out in a while...might have to take it with us to Myrtle Beach on our trip in a couple weeks...
- FunnyCamperExplorer IIhey that's my bro in the back holding the beer can. cool

I know I'm going to sound like a crumudgeon, but...
I've done it. I'll never do it again. See, I've got no problem with having a grand ol' time all day long, but when night comes, the bean bag toss games are every bit as annoying as any other rowdie neighbor. The constont random POCK! of the bags hitting the boards gets old really fast. Combine the noise with the inevitable drunken hooting and hollering and (seemingly) mandatory 300-watt floodlights used to illuminate the playing area after dark, and the novelty wears of really quick.
I've been that guy before... The one playing well past quiet time, oblivious to the fact that there are others who have small children trying to sleep, or may be trying to enjoy the quiet sounds of nature. Now, a few years older and marginally wiser, I see the err in my youthful ways. Once night falls, please, I beg of you, be respectful of your neighbors and finish the tournament in the morning.
I had a recent bad experience a couple summers ago... Camping with a 3-month old in a popup directly next to a family with three, yes THREE sets of boards set up directly behind our popup, and a Labradork that barked at virtually every bean bag lobbed either direction... I asked politely, they declined to stop. I asked a little less politely the second time, noting that it was past quiet time, and asking for some consideration of my sleeping 3 month old just feet from their game (with floodlights streaming in, of course). They again declined. I did not ask a third time, called the front gate, registered the complaint, and the Indiana DNR shut them down for me. I received some cross looks the rest of the weekend, but I can live with that.
So please, I beg of you, as with everything else while comping, be respectful of your neighbors and, specifically, what effect your actions have on them.

Not just at night. It gets old during the day as well. There were inconsiderate selfish corn-hole fanatics who played from morning to about midnight at Tim's Ford CG in TN the weekend we camped there. It was worse than a Chinese water-torture-drip. 6 to 8 people were there at all times playing this game, yelling, laughing and the whop, whop of the bags was about to drive their neighbors to distraction. Everyone around them was complaining. They refused to give us a break and move their boards and game to an open area away from other campers. Too far from the beer and nuts I guess. It was a nice CG on a lake with a lot of wildlife but it was impossible for us to enjoy ourselves or get to sleep at a normal hour. Forget hearing any sounds of nature. :M I was ready to pack up and leave by Saturday afternoon.Combine the noise with the inevitable drunken hooting and hollering and (seemingly) mandatory 300-watt floodlights used to illuminate the playing area after dark, and the novelty wears of really quick.
Wait until you camp near football and baseball fanatics! The screaming and stomping and hooting and hollering can go on for hours and hours. Worse by far than any drunken corn-holers. :( We had that miserable experience at Buttonwood in PA.I've been that guy before... The one playing well past quiet time, oblivious to the fact that there are others who have small children trying to sleep, or may be trying to enjoy the quiet sounds of nature. Only once did we have someone to complain to at a CG because of noise. Severn Points near Nashville shut down a young couple blaring heavy rock music all afternoon... several people called up at the office and in less than 30 minutes this couple packed up and left. The parkie told us he could hear the music as soon as he made the turn up the road hundreds of feet from their site. At Buttonwood the screaming started after the office closed. There was no one to call. At Tim's Ford the woman said there was nothing she could do about the corn-hole noise. So please, I beg of you, as with everything else while comping, be respectful of your neighbors and, specifically, what effect your actions have on them.
