This is an awesome project and I wish you the best of luck with it and hope that you get all the advice and support you need to get it done. If you don't mind me asking what would make you take on a project like this knowing you don't have the money to complete it. I just don't understand asking people you don't know to help support you in your project. This isn't a bunch of medical bills for a sick child that your asking people to help you with its an RV. Why not do the work as you can afford it instead of asking for "donations". I'm sorry I'm not trying to be an ass, I grew up in a house that borrowed nothing once I shoveled snow with a square point shovel when our snow shovel broke so I just don't understand asking for money for something that you don't absolutely need. It just seems to me the underlying tone of this is all about getting money.
Agree. I wish at 26 I could have traveled, met interesting people and not worked. This is America. My wife and I worked for 34 years to get what we have. :) Try working for what you want. WE DID! You could also.
From the OP's blog, the FAQ page:
How are you paying for it?
A little bit of each paycheck goes toward the conversion. I want this project to be as inexpensive as possible. So, I wait for sales at hardware stores, I use Ebay to bid on cheaper items, I ask friends for help, and I use Craigslist whenever possible. I also plan to create a campaign with Indiegogo to try and fund my project.
