I washed the bedding, then remade the bed. That way there was one less chore as we were getting ready to go out again. Unless you are in a VERY dusty or humid environment, I'm not sure why you would vacuum-seal the bedding? Seems like unnecessary extra work and camping should be all about keeping it simple :-)
