I have to say that over the winter trip, I needed to do some creative leveling involving leveling blocks, 2X8s and wheel chocks. The worse seem to be public domain parks. This leads me to assume that public employees are less worried about comfort/ease of use than collecting the fee at the gate.
Maybe if they put a little more effort into maintaining more-or-less level sites, they wouldn't be worrying about people digging holes.
When I was at Topsail Hill SP in the panhandle, they were actively ripping out all the sites that were disrupted by tree roots and rebuilding them. I think Florida does an excellent job maintaining their state parks. The COE should take notice.
