Cold Weather Gas Tank Additive

We will be going into Colorado late Dec and staying till May. what is best cold weather gas tank additive we should be using.

  • you don,t need any, BUT I use sea foam it cleans the gunk out of the jets ,and kills any drops of water you mite have.
  • Will you be sitting for that time? If so, add Stabil to the gas because of the ethanol. Being from Michigan, we did nothing other than buy our gas. No additives that we ever added to our tanks. We were driving our vehicles on a regular basis though.
  • In the older days we would add Dri-Gas to prevent freezing gas lines. Most gas available today is already 10% alcohol which is what Dri-Gas was.
  • If it is a gaser then you need do nothing. Refineries add lighter components in winter, the main reason you get less MPG.
  • When in Colorado, check the local filling stations, as fuel companies use additives to the fuel in the winter months.
