Contacting owner of lost wallet. What is best way.

(edit part)...What is the best thing to put in your wallet so someone that finds your wallet can contact you? Your phone number OK? Your e-mail address OK? I don't think your personal address is O...

I found a Bible and wallet along side of the road, looked inside the wallet and found DL, took it to the owner (a Preacher) who accused ME of stealing his stuff I told him I wasn't stupid and if I had stolen them why the heck would I return them. It Gave me a sour taste in my throat, after that I would give the item /s to a police man.
