Disinfecting Water Connections

I sanitize the water system each year before the season starts (Google "sanitize rv fresh water") .. I sanitize all the fittings and, the hose by putting it in a bucket with the same solution. I do this just once. Not overly concerned about being germ free. This is the minimum. I don't do this to all my house pipes, so even this might be overkill.

I connect the ends of the hose together, but I don't sanitize it more than once per year.
