Disinfecting Water Connections
I just purchased a new TT and haven't used it yet. I know I have two available water intakes. With the city water connection, do I need to disinfect it and the kitchen and bath faucets? If so, how?...

I've seen too many idiots sticking their sewer hose up to the hose bib and rinsing it out to not sanitize. Then there's the kids that have to mouth it to get a drink.
A little bleach or hydrogen peroxide in a squirt bottle goes a long way and is cheap ins.
BTW, to get the bleach out of your tank and lines just poor an ounce or two of hydrogen peroxide into the tank and run it through. It kills bleach on contact and is safe to drink.
