NO...you do not stop at weigh stations
You are NOT 'commercial' or 'for hire'....just a regular joe with a regular drivers license.
Actually...
Some states that have that 'signage' posted do require " passenger or specialty vehicles, either single or in combination (towing a trailer) with GVWR of 10,000 lbs. or more" to stop.
Course now you have to find/understand the intent of the verbiage "passenger...vehicle"
BUT as you noticed...no body came chasing you down with flashing red/blue lights
I pulled in ONCE....due to that signage----Combined I close to 22K
Pulled in..head stuck out window and group of officers standing behind gent at window were looking at me like a tree full of owls when the gent at window YELLED "Go on GIT! GO!"
Last time I pulled in at ANY weigh station regardless of signage.
Have driven by many and had yet to get chased down.
So "GO ON --- GIT!"
