- CroweExplorerWouldn't buy one without an awning. Provides shade from the sun, shelter from the rain so you can still eat/cook outside, and provides hubby with something to whack his head on and complain about! :B Seriously, I can't see being without one. We used to camp at the beach where the sites were treeless. Being the pasty white Yankee I am it's an absolute necessity. If you are on a wooded site it also keeps stuff from trees (and birds!) from dropping on to your table and chairs.
- Dutch_12078Explorer IIUnless it's quite windy, we use our awning at most campgrounds unless we're only staying a day or two.

- Opie431ExplorerWe have to have an awning, friends will not have one. It is going to depend on you.
Last time we were camping we noticed several sites where the awning was never pulled out sp apparently Ken is not the only one.
We always camp in sites with lots of shade so it is not that we need the awning for shade. - bid_timeNomad III would not even consider a trailer without an awning.
