The fin iced over after 8 months of continous operation and you wish to know if that is normal.
No... 8 months is a long time for the fins to take to ice over.. 4 is more normal.
Ok, enough of the joke.. Yes, if you don't open the door too often or are in a dry climate 8 months is normal.
Yes, they do ice up, this is not a "Frost Free" model. like many home Fridges.
