Something to consider: If you're looking at a towable behind your mini-van, and don't want to change vehicles, consider a pop-up. We towed a Starcraft Venture pop-up behind our Chevy Mini-van for 6 years and had no problems towing. See my "profile" (link on the left here) to see a photo of it. The ONLY problem we had towing the pop-up was the time I forgot to flip the catch on the hitch and when I pull away, the trailer came off the hitch ... but we were only a few feet from the campsite in the drive way and moving very slow at that time.
