- Harvey51ExplorerThe first time you do it, be sure you have time and patience. For some vehicles, there is a good chance of cutting a seat with the sharp edge on the bottom or side of the cover. If you can't work out a good, safe way to get the cover out of the way, consider removing the passenger seat. That is by far the best approach on our 92 GM 2500 van - just four nuts holding the seat to its metal base, and presto, lots of room to take the engine cover out.

- stubblejumperExplorerMine requires a hex wrench (about 3/16) inserted in the hole at the bottom back end of the doghouse to unlock the hold down clasp.
- past-MIdirectorExplorerOur Workhorse on a 2004 has 3 screws. Two forward and one in the middle of the aft end. They are buried in the carpet pretty good.
- RV-1_2n-FUNExplorerIf not a quick release type of clasp how about screwed down "L" brackets under carpet near seats?
- pitchExplorer IIHere is probably an useless answer, I am sure that you already have checked. Every Doghouse I have ever dealt with had two large screws on top and then there were also locking clasps on the bottom connecting the cove to the firewall. You probably will need to lift the carpeting and insulation to get to them.
