Don't waste your money

Take the cash put into an account and let it build some interest. $1400 can go a long way to repairs and after the seven years the money may still be there. With the warranty you lose the money if you never needed it.

We originally purchased a warranty but refunded it a year later and banked the money in an "RV" fund.

Most of the things that fail won't be covered. They write the policies to make money. A few people have things that are covered. I have had several extended warranties. Never had anything fail that was covered. I now just save that money for repairs.

I am a mobile RV repairman and I work with many of the extended warranty companies. I find American Guardian the most difficult to work with.

I'm picking mine up next week and need to decide on the extended warranty. My previous 5er I had a 7 year and it almost paid for itself with one leaky gray tank replacement. On this new 5er they want $1400.00 for 5 years which I guess means really only 4 years cause you get one year from the manufacture. It's not so much the appliances I wander about its more the water lines, tanks and things buried under the 5er.

Those plans in general have a very bad rep here.
They're goal is to make money. If you play the odds you will more likely than not pay them more than they will pay out in repairs for your RV. If that weren't the case then they would not be in business.
My advice is to save the money. Then you'll have it to put it into any repairs your after the original warranty has expired.

Give the guys at WholesaleWarranties.com a call or e-mail. Very helpful knowledgeable people without a hard sell. Personally, I have always maintained an extended warranty. Many on this website and others will say they are worthless, save your money. Both sides have good arguments and give honest opinions.
