Check out Wholesale warranties before you do anything else. They are a broker and I have a service contract,aftermarket warranty, frpm Cornerstone and have NEVER had a problem with a covered repair.

I got a call back from them the other day, with a quote, but he didn't say which company he was quoting and at the time, I thought they were a company within themselves, so will most likely be calling back and looking into Xtraride, as well.

Wholesale warranties had the one on my prior motorhome...They helped me when I had two bad issues along the way (LCI leveler pump and Satellite system)...Can't say enough good about them...if you are considering one...go with them and get an exclusionary warranty (which means if it is not put in writing, then the item IS covered)..

^^ And there is a good reason to get one, I think if I was full timing I'd likely do the same.

We have the service contract through compass gardian. Here's why. I'm pretty handy and not intimidated by most things mechanical. Ie removed my 6.5 gennie in my driveway by myself. That was before, now we are full-time and though I have tools they are limited. We don't have the opportunity to shop around for repairs or rely on local referals from people we know. Also many parks do not allow any repairs in the park. I could have fixed any of our problems had I still had a home and my shop. When your nevercold goes tu and you don't know where to go, and do not have the resources to fix it yourself you screwed, you can't just go home and deal with it later. We still have 2 years left and so far we are even.
Jack failure 1200
Fridge failure 2700
Fridge failure 1800
Thermistor 185
Cook top 300
Sat dish 400
None of the above were bank breakers but like I said when your full-time your repair choices are limited
They pay the provider via credit card while your there and you pick up the deductible. Never had problem, never had any service either mobile or store front refuse our contract.
If I still had the house and was part time I wouldn't have it.
But full time it's worth the peace of mind.

I guess it could have went both ways, with your money still in the bank too. With our present rig, I certainly wouldn't have made out with buying a warranty with what if would have cost and could only be partially justified, if I wasn't the type for doing a lot of my own work.
Like has been said, it's a betting game with the house usually winning and they certainly do in the long run, for the most part or would be soon out of business.

Well, inside of a year, I was well into my credit card for repairs and the several biggest ones were for items that had been repaired by the PO just before I got it.
