- OLYLENExplorerDo you have a free clinic near you. As said dehydration is what I would look to first, drink till you can't get away from the pot. Do you feel better being out and about? And then have it happen again when your in the RV? Heat can cause the symptoms also, damp cloth at neck or kinda a sponge bath with cool water.
Keep checking back so we know your OK.
LEN - soosExplorer IIDehydration also causes the symptoms you mention, especially since you mention sweating. Make sure uou drink enough water to rule it out.
- Roy_LynneExplorerSo if you have a history of sensitivity to chemicals, I'll bet that is exactly what is troubling you. What have you added recently, if nothing, then I'll suggest its that bug cheap wood smell that is getting to you and your just nose blind to it now. I suspect mold Get a gallon of bleach and a tooth brush. Check around the windows, vents, under the sink and like I mentioned, the mattress. Wipe everything down with bleach water and if your cloth comes up black at any point, that is probably your culprit. Also you said "cool RV" so can I assume that you have air. That is another great place to check for mold and for problems. Good luck, if you lived nearby, I'd come help but I'm in Washington.
- Searching_UtExplorerFormaldehyde can be tested for, had a family member that had issues with new laminate flooring. That said, I would be quite surprised if you were getting significant levels this long after the wood products in your trailer were manufactured.
Being as how I haven't stayed in a Holiday Inn express being as how I have an RV, I like others will have to recommend a medical professional, and possibly having testing done on the trailer - BumpyroadExplorerit's had 8 years to out gas.
bumpy - WTrippeExplorerThank you all for your input and suggestions. I've been parking at a friend's house until closing of my property. Everything will be final tomorrow morning. So I'm not running the motor, generator or propane. He's letting me use his 30 amp. So I crossed out CO, LP gases. The RV did have a bug spray/cheap wood smell to it but I don't smell it anymore.
I spend most of the day walking with my dog and going to parks. This is a change of life for me. It's very hot here and my first thought is coming in from a drenching sweat into a cool RV might be causing it. But I've been sick on days I haven't gone to the park and Wednesday I stayed in bed all day.
I am very sensitive to poisons. A diet coke or anything with fake sugar gives me headaches and I puke. I quit smoking cigarettes when they made them fire safe. I could taste the new chemicals and couldn't smoke anymore without getting sick.
I'm leaning towards formaldehyde poisoning. My symptoms seem to match what I've read about it. I've started leaving my vents open to see if it helps. Seeing a doctor isn't in my budget. In my experience its just a circle jerk.
Thanks,
William - NC_RoamerExplorerAre you drinking from the freshwater tank? Was the water system thoroughly sanitized?
- WalabyExplorer IIAnd I thought he was going to say he started feeling ill once he realized how much money he spent on the RV.
Hope he gets to feeling better.
Mike - YC_1NomadSounds like Carbon Monoxide poisoning.
Are you running any propane powered heaters? Are you parked next to someone with anything burning fuel?
It can feel like severe flu symptoms and if you are nearest a window exposed to it you may be the only one. Our Hot Water Heater is near a bedroom window and we keep the propane off at night or until needed. - NaioExplorer II

Exactly. Newbies often don't realise how quickly they will get responses.
