There is fiberglass and there is fiberglass.
Most fiberglass TT and motorhomes are made out of "composite" walls. Some kind of a "backer" and then a piece of fiberglass with resin. This design is usually placed in an oven that melts the resin so that it adheres the backer. Pressure may or may not be used. If the backer get wet, the fiberglass can delaminate.
"True" fiberglass TT are laid up in a mold with fiberglass and liquid resin, very much like how a boat is built. There is a top and a bottom half that are joined at a seam. If there is any wood/backer anywhere, it is in strategic places so that things can be attached to the wall. These TT tend to last much longer than any other design.
