I towed a 28 foot TT weighing between 4000 to 4500lbs GW with a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 5.2 V8 2X2 in flatlands of Texas using a WDH with no problems at all. Truck was also fully loaded with camper shell too.
However, in the mountains of the west coast and Rockies I towed same trailer with a Dodge Ram 2500 V10 4X4 with of course no problems.
The V10 was a towing beast and YES I could easily afford the gas. Cheers
