I was considering the bigger passenger area and smoother riding as "comfort items". Traditionally, trucks didn't bother with that stuff as they were meant to tow and carry stuff. Nowadays, people use pickups as commute vehicles, daily driving vehicles and so on and they want those "comforts" they get in a car.
