This is our first time as seasonal campers and we have a question. Is it normal in campgrounds for campers to constantly walk their dogs up and down the campground streets? Is this common in all campgrounds? In the past when we have gone camping, I guess we didn't notice it as much.
YUP. Ad naseum.
I was parked as a Snowbird in a part that had seasonals. When they came up that's all they did was walk their dog. NO PROBLEM! BUT IMHO, JMHO they were the most inconsiderate campers I've met.
Because they pay a hefty price for their sites and that money covers the barren winter months for the CG, the CG owners almost always look the other way regarding CG rules and they know it. So 99% of them did not pick up their poop piles.
What I found the most irritating is they would walk their dogs STRAIGHT for the RV section of the park and let their dogs do their business right on the RV sites as they walked down the road.
And here's flash even if you are in a seasonal park....... Where I was at they all let their male dogs pee on all the water spigots if they are close to the road. While I was there I would tell the incoming RV's to bleach the heck out of their spigots before hooking up.
BTW: I see this happening at almost EVERY CG I have stayed at where the spigots are within leash range of the road. :R
Its never the dogs that got me at seasonal, its the golf carts that do not move for vehicles and poeple.
:B
Or the campers that put their kids on the golf cart at 8:00 am and tell them not to come back until the sun sets. :R
