first time buying

This is the smallest new Montana they make. (3100RL) and with washer and dryer my pin weight is 3400lb. I would not pull it with a 150, 1500, 250 or 2500 anything. This was the only way to go for us and it pulls like a dream.

Dude, you need to do a little research and learnin now, before you do anymore RV shopping. It will be in your best interest.

That's a big camper no 1500 truck will pull it looking at the keystone site at what it weighs and what it will carry,I would probably look at 450 trucks

DRY hitch weight is nearly 3000lbs. it has 5 slideouts and is 42' long.


listen to your friend. a SRW 1 ton might work, depending on payload.

I have a Ram 1500 Eco Diesel and it is just to small to tow that beast.

I am a newbie, too, though we are going with a class a. Buying new and big has been vey tempting, but I decided to go smaller and used for our first coach. Shopping for a good used Motorhome has not been easy or fun...so much smelly or leaky or poorly maintained stuff is out there. Other than writing a much bigger check, a sorta think buying new would have been easier. I think either approach has its advantages..I.So, if you can afford it and you are comfortable with your choice, stand strong and buy what you want.

thanks for that, I had them put it in writing and signed on the purchase order that its refundable

Check your contract because I suspect that your down payment is NON-refundable if you choose not to purchase the RV. I had to go through this ordeal with a family member who put a deposit down on an RV and then changed their mind.
