Which led flashlight is perfect for camping. Something that is really bright and can see far.

Just a general around the camper light then get a $2 Wall-Mart special but if you want something brighter, easy to carry and will hold up to some abuse then one of the so called tactical lights would work well.
This Quark 4 sevens single AA light has spent the last 5 years in my pocket and is used almost daily. To make it even brighter I run Trustfire rechargeable Lithium batteries in it but in a pinch any old AA works just fine.
- Depends on what you want it for. For a general purpose inside/outside one, get one of the larger LED ones with D cells. Don't scrimp and buy a cheap one as they can have problems (BTDT). Good LED ones aren't cheap unfortunately.
We use a Tow-Rax flashlight holder mounted next to the entry door.

The small Maglight is the best and can be set up as a lantern also. It is bright enough for anything you will ever need to do and very well made.- X3 - on Costco, the 3 cell is awesome
- "Perfect" is a very subjective term.
I have some expensive lights but rarely use them. Have no need for a light that will cast a beam half a mile when walking around camp. In fact I find I can see better at night with no light at all. The bright flashlight illuminates what it's pointed at but that's all you see. Without a light you still have peripheral vision.
I don't have one yet, but think one of those headband lights would be ideal for camping when you need the light. It would always be pointing where you need it and not taking up one of your hands. - I've got these stashed all over the house and vehicles. I've not had one go bad yet, and when people ask me where I got it or how they can get one, I normally give it to them and go pull another one out of the drawer :).

X2! I just can't see buying a "good" one when the cheap ones work just fine. I used to used several 6 volt hand held lanterns. This year I switched to using little cheap LED flashlights that fit in my pocket. They throw off plenty of light, use 3 AAA batteries, and are usually free giveaways from Harbor Freight or from trade shows in various industries. I don't think I paid for one yet other than replacement batteries.- Harbor Freight also give away one that looks like a blue hockey puck (sorta) that is great.
