I replaced a roof on a park trailer I had. No need to remove the slide at all. Once you strip off the fabric you can see if you need to replace any wood., it's right there in front of you. Did the whole job in a couple days including a couple rafters, insulation and roof decking. You take it apart..then you put it together the way it came apart. Nothing hard about it..
