Our company got bought out and our local office will be closing at the end of the year. Thankfully my services are still needed and instead of being asked to relocate, I can work from home. Big relief...

Why are all these people talking about WiFu.....
You want to go right away and look up cellular internet. This is not Wifu. This uses a 4G network to provide service, it can be hardwire Wifi, or Bluetooth. It has nothing to do with open Wifu junk.
So, start there do not pick the carrier by price. Look at the coverage map and stay inside it. (Yellowstone is out except at Mammoth.)
Now, if you want better and need better, there is satellite. That isn't cheap, but it will be deductible.
I abandon Wifu years ago. I still carry an Alfa box out of habit, but I haven't been out of Verizon 4G where there was anything else to use.
