1."halo statute"... dumb phone: with the only other two viable features being an alarm clock and a contact list. Eyes are bad enough, don't need to strain them with a football game on a 2"x4" screen.
2."Shoppin'"... I can: grocery shop with a hand written list; don't run into anyone while viewing a 2x4" screen; and deletion is a one step simple process... open hand. Has worked for 65 years. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
3."navigation"... Garmin: gotta pay attention to the goofs, but works w/o cell signal. Road Atlas for backup.
4."World Book Encyclopedia"... Google Search... using laptop and Verizon 4G MiFi. When I really want to reach out and touch someone... Skype does the job.
