To each his own. The big difference is the weight. Guess it would be nice to have something that can run the A/C but most CGs have quiet hours so you can't run the A/C all night anyway. Besides most nights cool off & the Fantastic Fan does a good job of drawing cool air in & expelling it out the roof.
Many nights dry camping at music festivals etc. & have not missed having A/C very often. A 2000w genny combined with the use of an inverter has served us well.
