Honda 2000 generator
Anyone out there running a honda 2000 genny on propane? If so what are your likes and dislikes and how does it compare db wise to gas? Input greatly appreciated

Bedlam,
If you do a little research you will find the generator watt maximum output is reduced by about 20% when using propane fuel due to its lower energy content. This is the same for any gas engine converted to propane fuel.

If I spend the money I want one that I know will run my 11,000 BTU AC unit. I feel that the Yamaha 2400 Hybrid is up for that task, so I guess I would have to put up with the larger physical size and weight.
My Honda EU2000i runs my 11,000 BTU AC unit just fine.
In fact with a test run it ran my 11,000 BTU AC unit for 6.5 hours on one small tank of gas in Honda before stopping , got to like that:)
Thanks abslayer for that info. I would never of guessed that since Ive read so much from others that a Honda 2000 is OK for the Polar 9500 units but thats about it.
Opps sorry Bud I had a brain fart and your responds snap me out of it My AC is the 9500 units
Once again very sorry if I have miss lead you
in a portable gen set I can see gasoline and LP dual fuel but why natural gas.

also, don't these invertor types run slower if the load is lower and perhaps a 2400 wouldn't be working as hard as a 2000? possibly more "MPG"?
