how to decide on buying a trailer - the dream vs reality

so the wife and I just can't seem to figure this out. we have 3 kids (11, 8, and 5) and just got back from a trip and rented a trailer. loved it. didn't like the feeling of staying in a rental thou...

But our weekends are fairly booked up with soccer games, and other commitments and the reality is different from the dream of getting away often.

Some families realities are spending their time together camping and vacationing and seeing new things while their children are young
